This course has opened my eyes to a whole new way of observing and analyzing my environment: the visible, and particularly also the invisible structures. As I’m currently immersing myself in a community based lifestyle, I’m keenly aware of, and intrigued with the latter: successful permaculture and regeneration projects depend on people and collaboration – once the people side works, everything else will fall into place. The principles of whole systems design, stacking functions, increasing interactions between components: it all makes so much sense and feels so natural – and yet, it wasn’t something I had thought of before. It has all come together beautifully in this course, as I went from one “AHA” moment to the next.
